My Child is a Zoo in one

My oldest son thinks he is a parrot. Whenever I sit down on the couch lately he climbs up me like a monkey and sits.on.my.shoulder. No, I am not kidding. He is odd. And no, it does not feel very good. How in the world can I get him to stop doing this?

Give him a banana. Or a cracker.

Put him in a cage? Bring a tree inside so he can climb it? I'm running out of ideas lol.

When our dog was bad we would take a squirt bottle and spray him with water..... if your son is a monkey right now then that might work :) hee hee

The suggestion of squirting him with a spray bottle was to funny! But I don't think that would work lol! I'm sure its gonna get old to him after awhile, just don't let him see that it annoys you or it will never stop!

Just when you think you could sit back and relax huh!

BTW my shopping trip to CVS didn't happen today as I got the joys of spending the day at the doctors, but I will be going tomorrow and will let ya know how I make out. Again thanks for the much needed info!

Well, I think it'll be okay until he turns into a snake and starts biting. Then, you'll really need a remedy! :)

I love all the comments you got on this one. Can't wait to see for myself! You must have a reaction to him he is enjoying or he would not do it again. Who knows what makes kids do the things they do. I never figured you kids out, you just outgrew things..at least I guess. It has been a long time for me..

Hmm, a parrot son. Well, at least he doesn't beg for crackers while he is up there, or does he? ;-)
