I am so glad for you to get to this place. I so remember the day I got there. You can do it, you just have to want to do it for you. I love you and will be there for you if you need to talk. Mom

It is so hard, I know.

Good luck and think healthy thoughts even though by Day 2 you will be caring less about healthy thoughts :-))))

My mom used lollipops.

Oh my God, I just realized that your date on your blog is the anniversary of my dad's death. You were little then, do you remember me being gone?

You can do it!! My dad a smoker of 30 some odd years quit cold turkey 5 years ago maybe a little longer. His best advice given to me when I quit is you have to want it. Not for anyone else but for yourself.

I quite 2 -3 years ago and haven't looked back. Its hard that first month...hell that first year because you feel the stress and you can no longer reach for that ciggerate...but the first time you make it through a situtation without grabbing one the accomplished feeling is great.

Don't give up, don't give in.

I wish you all the best. Just know you can do this. I smoked for 48 years and have almost 7 months now. It's hard, but not impossible. I sucked a lot of Dum Dum's those first few days. Some say that those red hot candies work. But in the long run, it's whatever works for you. Just don't smoke.

you can do it! the most important part is sheer strongg determination.. Just keep with the vow to quit.
It takes time and time and more time but you will get to where you wont look back! I am a former smoker too and I am FINALLY there. My husband still smokes too and I can now even be around him and not want one at all.

In the beginning, some strong cinnamon fire balls or gum can help too just to keep your mind off it.

Just keep your body and heart and healthy and kids in mind (guilt trip yourself!)

YOU CAN DO IT! Been there too. It can happen for you, just stay strong. If you are doing this for you - keep your promise to yourself!

Health & prosperity (at $6 a pack!)I pray for you....just remember the "why's" of your decision when the going gets rough and you Can only think about how much you love it...for the last 3 years i've only managed to get to the point of having between 2 and 4 drags off my husband's cigarette maybe 3 times a week, if that even..because any more makes me sick now. I totally blame him, of course.

Be sure and keep us updated

blessings,
Ana
